About this Tool

About What Is My IP & Network Diagnostic

Every device that communicates across the global Internet is identified by an Internet Protocol (IP) address. Your public IP address is assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or virtual private network (VPN) and serves as the return address for all packets entering and leaving your router.

TiBox What Is My IP & Network Diagnostic Suite provides instant, zero-clutter identification of your external WAN IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, Autonomous System Number (ASN), ISP organization, geographic coordinates, and round-trip latency to global edge resolvers. Unlike legacy IP websites that bombard users with tracking trackers, cryptocurrency miners, and invasive popups, TiBox renders your network profile in pure Apple Cupertino style with integrated WebRTC leak protection and CLI cURL endpoints.

How It Works

Simple, Fast & Secure In-Browser Workflow

STEP 01

Egress Handshake & Header Extraction

When your browser connects, the edge server extracts the socket transport peer address and evaluates reverse-proxy forwarding chains (x-forwarded-for, cf-connecting-ip) to identify the true WAN originator.

STEP 02

BGP Routing & ASN Enrichment

The detected IP is resolved against global Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing tables to determine the Autonomous System Number (ASN), ISP operator, and regional internet registry (RIR) allocation.

STEP 03

WebRTC STUN Candidate Enumeration

An in-browser RTCPeerConnection requests local host and server-reflexive ICE candidates. This uncovers internal LAN subnets (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x) and verifies whether VPN tunneling successfully seals WebRTC sockets.

STEP 04

Anycast DNS Latency Profiling

High-resolution performance.now() timestamps measure round-trip response times to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8) Anycast clusters to establish physical network latency baselines.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your Data Never Leaves Your Device

TiBox operates on a strict zero-retention architecture. Your client IP is processed transiently in edge RAM to assemble the response payload and is never written to disk, database tables, or analytics systems. No tracking pixels, persistent cookies, or third-party ad networks are present.

✓ 100% Client-Side Processing✓ Zero Server Uploads✓ No Tracking Cookies or Analytics✓ RAM-Only Execution

Frequently Asked Questions about What Is My IP & Network Diagnostic

What is the difference between my public IP and my private (local) IP?▼

Your public IP address is assigned by your ISP and is visible to the entire Internet. Your private IP address (such as 192.168.1.100 or 10.0.0.5) is assigned by your local Wi-Fi router to distinguish your device from other phones and laptops on the same home or office network.

How does TiBox detect WebRTC IP leaks?▼

TiBox instantiates a temporary, client-side RTCPeerConnection and contacts a public STUN server. If your browser returns candidate IPs that differ from your active VPN tunnel exit IP (such as your domestic ISP address), TiBox alerts you to an active WebRTC leak.

Can I check my public IP address from the command line?▼

Yes! Run "curl -s https://api64.ipify.org" or "curl -s https://api4.ipify.org" in your terminal to receive your plain-text public WAN IP address instantly without headers or HTML wrappers.

Why does TiBox display both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses simultaneously?▼

Modern Internet networks support Dual-Stack operation. TiBox sends independent, concurrent probes over IPv4-only and IPv6-only transport channels, revealing whether your ISP has allocated a next-generation 128-bit IPv6 address alongside your standard 32-bit IPv4 address.

How accurate is the geographic location shown on the interactive map?▼

IP geolocation is accurate at the country level (99%+) and city level (80-90%). It reflects the location of your ISP’s regional routing node or BGP gateway, which is why TiBox provides a "Compare with Hardware GPS" feature to demonstrate the exact physical distance delta.

Why does my IP change periodically?▼

Most residential ISPs utilize Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to lease IP addresses. When your router reboots or the lease expires, your ISP may reassign a new public IP from its pool.
